Last year, your donations allowed us to feature over 100 emerging and established artists of diverse backgrounds, abilities, and artistic disciplines.

Together, we:

  • Premiered more than 20 new songs by collective composers

  • Premiered countless works of poetry, spoken word, and prose.

  • Presented 3 world premiere interdisciplinary projects, including:

  • MIXT: A Living Gallery,

  • The Smallest Sound, in the Smallest Space

  • Words of the Prophets

  • Presented a reimagined version of the recently premiered staged-concert, The Womxn Have Something to Say, in a co-production with Intersection Arts.

  • Hosted a creativity workshop, called What Do YOU Have to Say?, encouraging people of all ages and artistic experience to become reacquainted with their inner children through creative expression.

This year, we plan to develop:
- An operatic double bill
- 3 new mutlidisciplinary plays
- A new version of "The Smallest Sound, in the Smallest Space"
- And workshops to develop the next "MIXT: A Living Gallery"

Non-monetary giving:

We recognize that not everyone is in a position to donate money. (Like, we really get it. We are artists living in NYC.) We also recognize that there are so many other ways to give, and those gifts of time, lodging, food, and encouragement mean the world to us.

Email us at thewhycollective@gmail.com if you can offer support in any of the following ways this season:

- Donating food for artists on long rehearsal days

- Offering gift cards for wellness services for our artists (massage, etc.)

- Offering childcare for artists with children during evening rehearsals.

- Offering transportation of artists, props, instruments, etc.

And the best gift you can offer us is to help spread the word about this fundraising campaign to your networks!
